The day trip to Machu Picchu by train from Cusco is an ideal excursion designed for those who want to make the most of their day. Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders of the world, is at the top of many travelers' bucket lists. This program is designed to give you everything Machu Picchu has to offer.
Despite being a day trip, you'll be able to see all the main sites in the citadel and even hike up Machu Picchu Mountain or Huayna Picchu Mountain if you've booked a trek in advance.DAY 1: DEPARTURE TO MACHU PICCHU
El recojo de su hotel en Cusco entre las 03:40 y las 04:00 de la mañana, para dirigiremos a la estación de tren de Ollantaytambo, punto de partida a Machu Picchu Pueblo (antes Aguas Calientes).
El viaje en tren que le espera es un trayecto muy especial, ya que recorrerá una de las rutas ferroviarias más espectaculares del mundo. Atravesará paisajes inolvidables, que podrá contemplar mejor gracias al techo de cristal del tren. Tras una hora y media de recorrido, llegará a Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Una vez en Machu Picchu Pueblo, nuestro personal se encargara de su traslado en autobús a la entrada de la ciudadela de Machu Picchu.
En Machu Picchu, disfrutará de un tour guiado de aproximadamente dos horas y media, visitando la Casa del Guardián, el Templo del Sol, las Tres Ventanas, el Intihuatana, el Acllahuasi, el Templo del Cóndor y las fuentes de agua. Después del tour, podrá hacer una caminata hacia Huayna Picchu o la Montaña Machu Picchu si ha reservado con anticipación.
DAY 1: RETURN TO CUSCO
Then we will take the bus back to Machu Picchu Pueblo. Before returning by train to Ollantaytambo, you will have free time for lunch and to explore Machu Picchu Pueblo. At the designated time, we will board the train to Ollantaytambo. Our representative will meet you and arrange your transfer back to Cusco by bus to your hotel.
MACHU PICCHU EXCURSION
- Pick-up from your hotel starts from 3:30am. The pick-up time can be arranged.
- Transportation from the City of Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo, and vice versa on the return trip.
- Train tickets from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo, round trip (Expedition or The Voyager, depending on availability) (You can upgrade your train journey to the Vistadome train or the 360 train by adding $70.00 USD each way).
- Professional and experienced guide, licensed in Tourism (Spanish, English).
- Bus service from Machu Picchu Pueblo to Machu Picchu (round trip).
- Tickets to Machu Picchu (circuit 2 or 3 depending on space availability).
